Membership Terms & Conditions

Agreement

These terms apply to all memberships with The Forsaken Archives, operated by Elysium Entertainment LLC dba The Forsaken Archives ("the Archives," "we," "us"). By checking the box at signup and completing your purchase, you agree to these terms.

Membership tiers and eligibility

The perks for each tier are listed on its signup page.

• Scholar is for current students. You must sign up with a valid student email address. We may ask you to confirm your student status, and may move you to Researcher if you no longer qualify, with notice before any price change.
• Each membership belongs to one person. Discounts apply to bookings that member makes or attends.

Billing, automatic renewal and cancellation

Monthly and annual memberships renew automatically until you cancel. Your card is charged at the start of each billing period at the price you signed up for.

• Cancel anytime by logging into your account. Cancellation stops all future charges.
• After you cancel, your membership and perks stay active until the end of the period you've already paid for.
• Annual reminder: For annual memberships, we'll email you before each renewal with the date and amount.
• Price changes: If your price ever changes, we'll email you at least 30 days before the new price takes effect, so you can cancel first if you choose.
• Failed payments: If a payment fails, we'll try to contact you. Perks pause until the payment goes through.

Refunds

• First 7 days: Any new membership can be refunded in full within 7 days of purchase, as long as no member discount has been used. Email us at contact@elysiumentertainment.net to request it.
• After 7 days: Payments are non-refundable. Cancelling stops future charges, and you keep your perks through the end of the paid period.
• Annual memberships are not refunded for unused months after the first 7 days.
• Library cards are yours to keep. Cards already printed or mailed are not refundable as a separate item.

Honorary Archivist has an additional protection, described in the next section.

Honorary Archivist

Honorary Archivist is a one-time $1,000 membership with no monthly fees. It lasts for as long as The Forsaken Archives operates. It is not tied to a specific location.

• Limited releases: Cards are numbered and sold in limited releases. Once a release sells out, signups close until the next release, if any.
• Moving locations: The Archives are currently between permanent locations. Your membership carries over to any new location, and perks apply at whatever rooms and events we run in the meantime.
• If we close: If The Forsaken Archives does not open a permanent location and permanently stops operating within 3 years of your purchase, we'll refund a prorated portion: $1,000 minus $27.78 for each full month since your purchase. After 3 years, no refund applies.
• First 7 days: The full refund described under Refunds also applies to Honorary Archivist.

Discounts and perks

• Room discounts apply to the whole booking when the member books or attends. One discount per booking. Member discounts can't be combined with other promotions unless we say so.
• Partner discounts are offered by our partner businesses, not by us. Each partner sets its own discount and terms and may change or end it. We'll keep our list of partners up to date.
• Events and perks depend on what we're running at the time. Some perks, such as first access to new rooms, may take effect only once new rooms open.
• Annual gift (Person of Interest): You must have been a member for at least 3 consecutive months, or have held an annual membership for at least 7 days before December 1st.
• Thank You page: Your name is listed only with your permission. You can ask us to change or remove it at any time.

Founding pricing and changes to these terms

• Founding price lock: Members who join before our new permanent location opens keep their founding price for as long as their membership stays active. If you cancel and rejoin later, current prices apply.
• Changes to perks: We may add, change or retire perks as the Archives grow. We'll give members at least 30 days' email notice before removing a perk.
• Changes to these terms: We'll email members about any significant change at least 30 days before it takes effect. Continuing your membership after that date means you accept the updated terms.

Cards, conduct, privacy and contact

• Library cards: Your welcome email serves as proof of membership until your physical card arrives. Lost or damaged cards can be replaced for $5.
• Non-transferable: Memberships and cards can't be sold, shared or transferred to someone else.
• Conduct: We may end a membership for abusive behavior toward staff, players or partners, or for misuse of member discounts. Memberships ended for conduct are not refunded.
• Privacy: We use your information only to run your membership and contact you about the Archives. We never sell your data.
• Governing law: These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.
